The Stone Goddess is a hard mistress. She demands steadfast loyalty and perseverance. People come to her temple to pray for support to withstand difficult times or to exact cold vengeance. Only true devotees are permitted to worship with the High Priestess in the private chapel. The temple is attended to and protected by a clan of loyal masked stone goblins who are tougher than other goblins but less agile. 

Rumors:

• The High Priestess can turn people to stone. 
• At the Temple, they can turn your skin into impenetrable armor for a cost. (This is almost true. Application of saliva of the cockatrice will harden a supplicant's skin, increasing their defenses and reducing their agility) 
• A blind healer is held prisoner in the temple and can restore petrified people. (If he is a prisoner, it is only to love). 
• The statues watch you and will come to life to protect the Temple.
• Some terrible creature lives behind the walls of the temple. Sometimes you can hear it screech. 
• The High Priestess can turn collars to stone, freeing any prisoner who can afford it. (This is untrue). 
• The Stone Goblins drug themselves with a unique powdered rock that acts as a powerful hallucinogenic and may sell some.
